About us

The Leprosy Mission Trust, India, is the largest NGO in India addressing the issue of Leprosy. This organization started in Punjab in 1874 and today has 14 centers around the country.

Premananda Memorial Leprosy Hospital, Kolkata, is an urban leprosy referral centre. We strive to reach out to men, women and children affected by leprosy and address their needs so that they can overcome stigma and look to the future with hope. We also cater to general patients for skin, eye, diabetes and general surgery including plastic surgery services. Our services are provided with state of the art facilities and good nursing care at affordable prices. Today are the largest NGO in the country working in the field of  Leprosy touching the lives of people affected by Leprosy through

Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV)

Nerve conduction velocity (NCV) test--also called a nerve conduction study (NCS)--is a measurement of the speed of conduction of an electrical impulse through a nerve. NCV can determine nerve damage and destruction. .

FOOT SCAN

​Foot scan is an assessment of the way you walk or run.The gait scanning at our hospital offers an assessment by a using a specialized scanning machine to measure and assess your foot mechanics.

Individuals with localized foot pain, bunions, hammertoe, arch/heel pain, leg/knee pain, hip/back pain foot ulcers will be benefited by this service.

2. 135,000 new cases of leprosy were reported in India between 2012-2013.

6. In some areas leprosy is a growing problem.

7. Many districts continue to have incidences of leprosy higher than the WHO benchmark.
